Senior Estimator – Commercial Construction (Colorado)

DS Constructors is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our growing team in Colorado. This is a key preconstruction leadership role responsible for delivering accurate, strategic estimates and helping guide successful project outcomes from concept through award.

You will lead estimating efforts across Design-Build and hard bid commercial projects, working closely with leadership, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead preparation of detailed estimates, budgets, and cost models through all design phases
Manage Design-Build and hard bid estimating processes
Oversee subcontractor solicitation, scope review, and bid leveling
Support preconstruction strategy, proposals, and client presentations
Perform constructability reviews, value engineering, and risk analysis
Develop and maintain project schedules tied to estimating efforts
Mentor and support junior estimating/preconstruction staff
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and trade partners
Ensure estimates are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

8-10+ years commercial GC estimating experience
Experience with public and private sector work
Strong knowledge of construction documents and all CSI divisions
Experience with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and Excel
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
