Join the Oakdale Irrigation District TeamBuild a career that matters. The Oakdale Irrigation District (OID) is seeking Construction and Maintenance Workers to help maintain and improve the essential water infrastructure that supports our local farms, businesses, and communities.
OID serves more than 80,000 acres of agricultural land and over 700 domestic water customers throughout Stanislaus County. Our work is vital to the region's sustainability-and so is our team.
Position: Construction and Maintenance Worker
Department : Construction and Maintenance
Schedule: Full-Time (Alternative Work Schedule: 4/10 or 9/80)
Salary : $32.71 - $39.76 per hour
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including CalPERS retirement
What You'll Do:
- Perform hands-on work in the construction, repair, cleaning, and maintenance of canals, pipelines, pump lines, and related water infrastructure
- Support the reliability and efficiency of OID's irrigation and domestic water systems
- Work outdoors as part of a skilled and collaborative team
What We're Looking For:
- Two years of construction or maintenance experience preferred (irrigation or similar infrastructure a plus)
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Valid California driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to obtain a Class "A" license within six months
