Livingstone Shire Council are seeking an experienced and forwardthinking Manager Construction and Maintenance to lead the operational delivery of Council’s civil infrastructure programs. What You Will Be Driving:
This position plays a pivotal role in shaping Council’s civil works delivery and longterm asset stewardship. You will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for constructing and maintaining critical infrastructure across the region, ensuring programs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.
Here is what you will be driving:
- Lead the Construction and Maintenance Business Unit, setting clear direction and empowering teams to deliver highimpact outcomes.
- Oversee construction and maintenance programs across roads, drainage, bridges, marine/coastal structures, and water and sewer networks.
- Manage operational investigations, responses, and service delivery for transport, road safety, footpaths, cycleways, water and sewerage services, and stormwater networks.
- Drive continuous improvement by adopting innovation, enhancing performance, and maximising community value.
- Collaborate across Council to develop short, medium and longterm plans for sustainable infrastructure asset management.
What You Will Bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering with extensive experience in regional, rural or remote civil works environments.
- RPEQ registration (Civil).
- Proven senior leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, and building safe, highperforming work environments.
- Demonstrated experience planning and delivering construction and maintenance programs.
- A current motor vehicle driver licence.
