Homes for All AmeriCorps program provides the perfect opportunity to gain resume-boosting skills while helping families and households secure and maintain safe, healthy, affordable housing. An AmeriCorps position can also work as a practicum placement.
Highlands Housing Corporation is seeking an AmeriCorps Volunteer in a construction position who can provide noew home construction, repair construction, and weatherization projects.
AmeriCorps Volunteers commit to a one-year term of service beginning in September and serve 1700 hours by August 31st, 2027. Volunteers receive a living allowance of $20,400, money for college or student loans in the amount of $7,445, health insurance, childcare assistance (if income eligible), loan forbearance, student loan interest payments, training, and professional and personal development.

The daily schedule is agreed upon between Volunteer and site supervisor

Requirements
Willingness to provide information to complete and undergo a National Service Criminal History Check
Be at least 17 years of age at the start of service
High school diploma or GED
Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
