As a Manager of Construction, you will be responsible for all construction and field activities. This includes completing maintenance and expansion capital projects in a safe and efficient manner, administering construction budgets, staff supervision and development and building and maintaining good working relations with landowners and internal and external customers.

What you will do:

Provides technical leadership to a team(s) of construction project management professionals who provide a variety of related services to assigned internal client groups for a significant project by:

• Create and manage the Construction Execution Plan (CEP) for the project.
• Assure implementation of construction management processes and procedures (specifications, inspection procedures, quality assurance program, materials management program, EH&S requirements, cost and schedule management, etc.).
• Influence and/or lead contractors management to meet costs, scope, schedule, quality, safety and environment objectives via various means inclusive of routine site and head office meetings, negotiations, planning activities, etc.
• Provide and/or assure daily direction and supervision of contract inspectors and other field resources supporting construction management of project.
• Assure QA/QC including inspection, daily safety and environmental management, as built and field records management.

Who you are:

• University degree, diploma, journeyman certification or related construction or operational training and/or experience.
• 10 or more years of previous related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Excavation, Welding, Hoisting and Equipment knowledge.
• Incident Response training and knowledge.
• Software skills with MS Office.
• Effective leadership skills which include, cultivating a collaborative, hard-working team-focused approach and inspire change in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Effective interpersonal skills, which includes written and verbal communication.

Working Conditions:

• Office environment.
• 30% of travel.
