ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attentive, alert, on time, properly attired, and ready to receive instruction promptly at beginning of shift. Must be 18 years of age at time of hire and be available for weekends and holidays.
Operates some equipment used in course maintenance.
Small machinery/tools: string trimmer, fly mow, backpack blower, shovels, rakes, pruners, etc.
Involved in course detail tasks: weed and debris clean-up, pick up garbage, fill divots, etc.
Maintains equipment fluid levels: gasoline or diesel, oil, etc. (throughout the day).
Reports equipment problems/failures to the mechanic immediately and completes correct paperwork.
Perform daily equipment repair and maintenance as directed by Head Mechanic.
Ensures that all equipment used is washed properly, returned to designated location and charging if applicable.
Performs bunker maintenance: operation of mechanical rake.
Planting and maintenance of vegetative material.
Transporting material.
Hand water plant material.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Maintains a professional standard , but not limited to, appearance, interaction with public, associates, verbal discussions and written correspondence. Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Foreman.
