FLSA Status: Non-ExemptDepartment: SalesReports To: Sales ManagerJob Summary: The Sales Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for potential projects. This role involves analyzing project requirements, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring that all estimates are completed in a timely manner to support the sales team in securing new business.Key Responsibilities:Review project specifications and drawings to understand the scope of work.Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment.Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information.Analyze historical data and market trends to ensure competitive pricing.Assist the sales team in preparing proposals and bid packages.Maintain and update a database of cost estimates and pricing information.Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements and address any questions.Participate in project handover meetings to ensure a smooth transition from sales to operations.Monitor and report on the status of ongoing estimates and proposals.Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.Qualifications:Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in estimating or a related role.Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong analytical and mathematical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Basic understanding of construction methods and materials.Physical Requirements:Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.Ability to work in various environmental conditions.EEO Statement: The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
