Job Responsibilities
As our Concrete Estimator, you will be the bridge between a blueprint and a finished foundation. Your day-to-day will include:
Plan Analysis: Review project plans and specifications to understand all concrete-related details. Cost Estimation: Crunch numbers to create precise estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
Collaboration: Partner with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment on project scope.
Site Visits: Visit job sites to assess the "lay of the land" and take accurate measurements.
Bidding: Prepare and submit professional proposals to win new projects.
Budget Management: Track and report on project costs to ensure we stay within budget from start to finish.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a concrete estimator or a similar role in the construction industry.
Technical Skills: Must be a "pro" at reading blueprints and technical documents.
Software: Proficiency with estimation software and digital tools.
Analytical Mind: Strong math skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Communication: Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills; you should be comfortable talking to both crew members and clients.
