You'll be responsible for developing accurate and competitive bids by analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements. The Estimator will perform quantity takeoff, review bid documents, generate proposals, and collaborate with project management to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to an active project. This role plays a key part in ensuring our proposals are complete, cost-effective, and aligned with company standards. It's an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and construction experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

1. Review of project specific documents including plans and specifications
2. Perform quantity based "take off" of structural and miscellaneous architectural metals
3. Assign labor costs to material estimates
4. Solicit and compare vendor quotes
5. Generate Pre-Bid Requests for Information
6. Attend Pre-Bid meetings, if required
7. Communicate and coordinate with Estimating team
8. Coordinate with Project Management team at job turnover
9. Adhere to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
10. Other duties as assigned

North Central Fabrication- Estimator

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

1. Associate's degree Construction, Engineering, Drafting, Project Management, or applicable work experience
2. Ability to read blueprints
3. Detail oriented
4. Experience using a PC (Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, Vista by Viewpoint a plus)
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Ability to work in a team environment
7. Time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
8. Construction experience a plus
