- ADA Construction Specialist
Description
The purpose of this position is to ensure that all Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) activities associated with the delivery and construction of MnDOT’s Trunk Highway Program comply with the Public Rights-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG) and MnDOT standards. Additionally, this position will support the implementation of MnDOT’s Accessibility Program across the department and provide statewide assistance to districts as needed.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation does not sponsor applicants for work visas or Optional Practical Training Extensions for STEM students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years of para-professional engineering experience (e.g., Engineering Specialist) demonstrates the following:
- Experience implementing Public Rights-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines and standards.
- Experience in the construction and contract administration of accessible pedestrian roadway facilities including curb ramps, sidewalks, and accessible pedestrian signals.
- Experience with roadway construction and contract administration practices and procedures sufficient to interpret, understand and apply engineering plans, specifications and special provisions.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Valid Class D Driver’s License.
